Additional information

The PNECs aqua were derived from the most sensitive test for the aquatic compartment, the short-term toxicity to algae. For other compartments, the PNECs are based on equilibrium partitioning.

Conclusion on classification

The short-term LC50 or EC50 values are 44.1mg/l for fish, 10.4 mg/l for daphnia and 1.34mg/l for algae.

The substance is readily biodegradable and has a log Kow of 3. However, according to CLP (Directive 1272/2008/EC) the substance has to be classified as Aquatic Chronic 3 based on the NOEC of 0.761 mg/L (growth rate) derived in the alga growth inhibition test.
