Ready biodegradability test of GRILBOND IL-6 100 % was performed according to OECD guideline 301B under GLP compliance. The test item GRILBOND IL-6 100 % of EMS-Chemie AG achieved - 0.66 % biodegradation in 28 days (10 days window: not applicable) and an abiotic degradation of 8.7 % in a CO2 Evolution Test conducted according to OECD-Guideline 301 B. Thus, the test item GRILBOND IL-6 100 % is not readily biodegradable.
Exposure of environment to the substance is extremely unlikely since during manufacturing, formulation and industrial processes all wastes, including gas emissions, water and solid waste, are incinerated in approved incineration plants, as described in section 3.5. Thus, no additional tests are necessary.
