Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The long-term toxicity of the substance to aquatic invertebrates was tested in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 211 using Daphnia magna as test species (BASF SE, 2021; report no. 51E0091/20E007). The daphnids were exposed under semi-static conditions to investigate effects on their reproduction. The test concentrations were analytically verified and proved to be stable. No significant mortality, reduced reproduction or any other additional significant adverse effects or abnormal behavior were observed in any of the test treatments. Therefore, the 21-d NOEC was determined to be  >= 11.6 mg/L (meas.; >= 10.9 mg/L, nominal).

This result is supported by a study with C. dubia following the French guideline AFNOR NF T 90-376 (2000) (Devillers et al., 2003). The test concentrations were not analytically controlled; however, it can beassumed that they were stable based on the results of the recent studies with analytical monitoring by BASF SE. The 7-d EC10 was determined to be 19.6 mg/L.

It can be concluded that long-term effects on aquatic invertebrates are not to be expected.
