Additional information

Based on the test results, the substance could be considered as not highly adsorptive, that indicates that soil and sediment are not expected to be the main target compartments for exposure assessment.

When release in water compartment, the substance is not expected to be degraded. Indeed, tert-amyl hydroperoxide was demonstrated to be hydrolytically stable and not readily biodegradable. Data available on aquatic organisms indicate that tert-amyl hydroperoxide is toxic to algae and aquatic invertebrates. No test was performed on fish as this species is assumed to be the least sensitive organism.
