Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Toxicity studies have shown evidence for the absorption of
C3RO following oral administration in both male and female
rats.  However, the extent of absorption from the
gastrointestinal tract cannot be assessed from  these
studies.

Although there was no evidence of any dermal penetration in
the rat and rabbit, following occluded application of C3RO,
the results of the local lymph node assay indicate some
absorption through mouse skin to elicit a positive
sensitisation response.

An assessment of the potential absorption of C3RO is also
based upon its physico-chemical properties, which suggest
that the intact molecule would be subject to some absorption
across the gastrointestinal mucosa following oral
administration.
