not specified
Auto-ignition temperature:
245 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa
Remarks on result:
preliminary test
Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance was measured to be 245°C. The result is considered valid.
Endpoint:

Results

Preliminary Test

Lowest test temperature = 255 °C at 981 hPa

Test Series 1

Lowest test temperature = 235 °C at 984 hPa

Test Series 2

Lowest test temperature = 232 °C at 974 hPa

Test Series 3

Lowest test temperature = 235 °C at 960 hPa

Summary

 Parameter

Value [°C]

Lowest value of test series 1:

235

Lowest value of test series 2:

232

Lowest value of test series 3:

235

Lowest value of all test series

232

Absolute deviation of the lowest value (1.5%):

3.5

Auto-ignition temperature = 229 °C

Remarks

According to DIN EN 14522 the lowest value of all test series (232 °C) was reduced by the deviation value based on the precision of the method (rel. 1.5% = 3.5 °C). The resulting value was rounded to the next integral number (229 °C).

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature of 229 °C at approximately 970 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol. It was not compliant with GLP.

Description of key information

229 °C at approx. 970 hPa (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The key study is supported by an auto-ignition temperature of 245 °C determined according to EU Method A.15.
