Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
stability in organic solvents and identity of relevant degradation products
Data waiving:
other justification
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical
Justification for type of information:
Stability in Organic Solvents :
CYCLAMEN ALDEHYDE is expected to be stable in organic solvents. This is in line with the fact that during studies such as the determination of the water solubility of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra (Study No. 11-E216) no instability of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra in organic solvents such as e.g. methyl tert.-butyl ether (MTBE) was observed.

Testing does not need to be conducted.

Identity of Relevant Degradation Products :
CYCLAMEN ALDEHYDE has been demonstrated to be Readily Biodegradable in a ready biodegradation screening study (see IUCLID study summary : Biodegradation in Water : Screening Tests / Key study) and, as such, no additional testing is required on environmental fate / simulation degradation studies.

The relevant justifications are attached.

Description of key information

According to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, stability in organic solvents and identity of degradation products is only required if stability of the substance is considered critical. Testing is not proposed because no cause for concern was identified during testing for Annex VII, VIII and IX endpoints.
