Under Column 2 “Specific Rules for Adaptation from Column 1” in the Regualtion (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006, it states that the study does not need to be conducted if: “there are no chemical groups associated with oxidizing properties present in the molecule” .

The structure of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra was assessed for chemical groups that imply oxidizing properties. Examples of such groups are nitrates, metal oxides, hypofluorites, difluoroaminopolynitroaryls, perchlorates, bromates and iodites.

From the structural formula of Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra, it can be concluded that the substance has no oxidizing properties. The substance does not have the functional groups associated with oxidizing activity.

Therefore it can be concluded beyond reasonable doubt that Cyclamen Aldehyde Extra is incapable of causing fire or enhance the risk of fire when in contact with combustible material.
