First-aid measures

In all cases of doubt call a physician.

In case of inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. Provide fresh air. If breathing is difficult provide oxygen, If breathing stops give artificial respiration Consult a physician.

In case of skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash with plenty of water and soap. If irritation persists consult a physician.

In case of eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If irritation persists consult a physician.

In case of ingestion: Rinse mouth - never in case of unconsciousness. If feeling unwell consult a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, sand.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Combustible. Hazard of dust explosion. Hazardous combustion gases and vapours may occur.  In case of fire may be released:  Carbon oxides, Hydrochloric acid gas, phosgen.

Advice for firefighters

In the dangerous zone self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing required.

Do not let enter firefighting waters ground- and/or surface waters

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

For non-emergency responders: Do not breathe dust. Avoid substance contact. Provide of sufficient ventilation. Keep ignition sources away.

For emergency responders: Wear protective equipment (refer to Section 8.) depending on hazard assessment

Environmental precautions: Do not let enter drains, ground- and/or surface waters.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Take up dry. Arrange disposal in suitable containers. Assure sufficient ventilation. Clean up affected area.

Handling and storage

The substance is used as intermediate under strictly controlled conditions.

For cleaning, maintenance and repair observe the precautions for safe handling:

Avoid generation of dust. Do not breathe dust. Avoid substance contact. When dusts are generated ensure appropriate ventilation and/ or local exhaust system. Keep ignition sources away.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Store cool, Keep container tightly closed until ready for use.. Store away from oxidising agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Choose Suitable personal protection equipment dependant on substance concentration and amount specific for workplace. Resistance against chemicals should be clarified with the supplier.

For cleaning, maintenance and repair use personal protective equipment:

:E y e / f a c e   p r o t e c t i o n s: safety goggles/ face shield

S k i n   p r o t e c t i o n: Wear suitable protective gloves. wear protective clothing

Suitable glove materials: Niltrile rubber

R e s p i r a t o r y   p r o t e c t i o n

At presence of dusts wear suitable respiratory protection. Filter P2 (EN 143) recommended.

Maintenance, testing and change of the filter cartridges must be performed following the recommendations of the supplier.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: risk of dust explosion when dust is fine distributed in air.

Chemical stability: Stable when stored under recommended conditions.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: Violent reactions possible with strong oxidizing agents, acid chloride, anhydids .

Conditions to avoid: heat

Incompatible materials: Aluminum

Hazardous decomposition products

In case of fire may be released:  Carbon oxides, Hydrochloric acid gas, phosgen.

Disposal considerations

Chemicals and packages must be disposed of in compliance with the respective internationa, national and local regulations. Contact an approved waste management company.
