The acute toxicity to fish was assessed according to the OECD-guideline no. 203 (1984). The LC50 (96h) is ≥74 mg/L, based on average measured concentrations. No mortality occurred during the test.

The acute toxicity to Daphnia was assessed according to OECD guideline no. 202 (1984). The respective EC50 is 1.3 mg/L, the respective EC100 is > 5.8 mg/L based on nominal concentrations. The measured concentrations amounted to 98-108% of nominal.

The long-term toxicity to Daphnia was assessed according to OECD 211 (1984). The NOEC for length of time for appearance of first brood is 0.00028 mg/L. The NOEC for the total cumulative number of young daphnids is 0.00028 mg/L, the NOEC for fraction of cumulative dead is 0.28 mg/L. The EC50 for immobilization is >0.28 mg/L, the respective NOEC is 0.0045 mg/L.

The toxicity to algae was assessed according to EEC directive 87/302/EEC (1987). The 72-h EC50 based on biomass of algae exposed to the test item was estimated to be 0.16 mg/L.

The toxicity to microorganisms was assessed according to OECD-guideline no. 209 (1984). Mircoorganisms were exposed for three hours to the test item, the EC50 was calculated to be higher than 100 mg/L.
