Additional information

In accordance with Annex VIII, column 2 the study does not need to be conducted if based on physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (i.e. low Log P) or if the substance and its relevant degradation products decompose. Strictly speaking, this data requirement cannot be waived on this basis. However, potassium hydrogen difluoride fully dissociates into its constituent ions in aqueous environments (K+, H+ and F- ions will be formed in aqueous environments) and the dissociated species can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption and therefore further data is not required.
