Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex X (section 9.6.1), existing data shall be considered when evaluating the need of testing. The Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7C: Endpoint specific guidance (November 2014), section R.7.10.17.4, page 108, specifies that "it is unlikely that secondary poisoning will be identified for substances that are readily biodegradable and have a low potential for bioaccumulation in fish and earthworms (e. g. a... log Kow below 3) ".

The log Pow of the registered substance is <3. Therefore, accumulation and persistence of the registered substance in soil and organisms is very unlikely. This characteristics demonstrates the low potential for bioaccumulation and hence the low exposure potential for birds due to secondary poisoning. Therefore, the risk for secondary poisoning of birds by the registered substance is considered to be very low and consequently, no avian toxicity test is needed.
