In the Klimisch 1 non-GLP study from Kintrup (2012) the boiling point of Sulfosuccinic (FA C12-18)E, 2Nawas determined with the DSC method according to OECD 103 and EU method A.2. The test item shows a boiling and /or decomposition at ca. 290 °C (at 1022 mBar) (a decomposition is most likely due to the strong residue in the crucible at ca. 600 °C) according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 103 (mean value from repeat determinations; 1st heating run). From 296 °C the test item shows a boiling and/or thermal decomposition with evaporation of the decomposition products.

For the risk assessment a boiling point of 296°C will be used.

This information is considered to be relevant and reliable for the further risk assessment.
