Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Remarks:
result fulfills both the EC A.10 and UN N.1 interpretation criteria

Any other information on results incl. tables

In contact with the flame of the gas burner the test item melted and turned into a light brown residue. White smoke was observed. After removal of the ignition source, no propagation of combustion of the test item was observed.

No further testing was required.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: not classified based on GHS or CLP criteria
Conclusions:
The substance is not a flammable solid.
Executive summary:

The flammability of the solid substance was determined in a GLP study according to EC A.10 and UN Test N.1. In the preliminary screening test, the substance did not ignite and did not propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering. The substance is concluded to be not a flammable solid.
