Conclusions:
Skin absorptin of 3,5,5-trimethylhexan-1-ol is considered to be low, i.e. comparable to the isomeric 1-nonanol, whose dermal flux of 1-nonanol in human skin (epidermis) in vitro was 0.003 mg/cm²/h.
Executive summary:

Skin absorption of 1-nonanol is low. The dermal flux of 1-nonanol in human skin (epidermis) in vitro is 0.003 mg/cm2/h (Schueplein, 1971). Based on comparable physico-chemical properties it is assumed that the skin absorption of the isomer 3, 5, 5 -trimethylhexan-1-ol is comparable and, therefore, low.
