Description of key information

The Henry's Law constant for thioglycolic acid (TGA) is 1.45E-6 atm-m3/mole indicating that TGA is expected to be essentially nonvolatile from water surfaces and that volatilization from moist soil surfaces may not occur.
TGA is not expected to volatilize from dry soil surfaces based upon an estimated vapour pressure of 0.12 mm Hg. A pKa of 3.8 for TGA also indicates that volatilization from water will not be an important environmental fate process as it will exist predominately in the ionic form under environmental pHs.
