Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Remarks:
at atm. press. of ca.1013.0 hPa

In the investigation of self-ignition in the GREWER oven for the pure test item an endothermic effect could be observed at a temperature of 120°C followed by an exothermal process starting at 260°C and leading to a maximum temperature of appr. 460°C.

For the test item in mixture with Kieselguhr an endothermic effect could be observed at a temperature of 120°C an an exothermal process was determined at a temperature of 260°C leading to a maximum temperature of appr. 400°C.

Conclusions:
Acc. to the UN Tranport Regulations a classification as self heating substance (UN 4.2) can be excluded.
Executive summary:

The self ingnition temperature of the substance is determined to 329°C.

Description of key information

Measurement acc. A16 (440/2008/EC) with GREWER oven.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
329 °C

Additional information

A classification as self-heating substance can be excluded
