Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials

Description of key information

Based on the chemical structure, the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials and is therefore considered to have no oxidising properties

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

The oxidising properties of the substance were screened based on the set of criteria as outline in the section R.7.1.13 of Guidance chapter R.7a, version 2.2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006

- The substance is an organic chemical which does not contain halogen atoms.

- The containing oxygen atoms are chemically bonded to carbon.

The criteria above are fulfilled for the substance so is not considered as having potential oxidising properties. Thus it is not classified as an oxidising material.
