Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid having a melting point <= 160°C
Cross-reference
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Reference
The melting point was determined to be 64.9 °C.
Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
64.9 °C

The melting point was determined using a capillary method. No guideline was followed, but the capillary method is an accepted method according to OECD Guideline 102. Therefore this study is classified as reliable with restrictions. In a supporting study the melting point was determined to be 64.9°C using a capillary method and this study is also classified as reliable with restrictions. In both studies few details were reported, but in the key study the temperature rate used was reported. Therefore, the key study is the preferred value.
