Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Henry's Law Constant was determined using an accepted calculation method (US EPA EPI Suite). Calculation is based on the measured values for vapour pressure and water solubility in combination with the mean molecular weight of the substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Henry's law constant (H) (in Pa m³/mol):
1 028
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

Henry's Law constant (HCL) was calculated using the program HENRYWIN v3.20 included in US EPA EPI Suite v4.11.

For the calculation measured values of vapour pressure (VP) and water solubility (WS) (see IUCLID Sect. 4.6 and 4.8) and a mean molecular weight of the technical product of 244 g/mol (MW) were used according to the equation HLC = VP *MW / WS. Substance name used within EPI Suite is diisopropyl-1,1'-biphenyl, a main component of alkylation and transalkylation products of biphenyl with propene.

The calculation result is valid for this product, since values from measurements with this material were exclusively included.
