Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance of registration TMT anhydrous is a hypothetical substance and is neither manufactured nor imported but corresponds to the substance used as test material in the registration.

No experimental physico-chemical data for the anhydrate from of 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6(1H,3H,5H)-trithione, trisodium salt are available. Following physico-chemical properties are deduced from or estimated using QSAR based on its chemical structure: Explosivity, oxidising properties, pyrophoricity, flammability on contact with water, surface activity, log Pow, dissociation constants, vapour pressure. The water solubility of TMT anhydrous is deduced from the water solubility of its hydrate form, TMT 55. There is no data on flammability on ignition of TMT anhydrous but since this substance is neither manufactured nor imported this testing is not needed because no exposure is possible.

The physico-chemical properties in the registration are tested using the hydrate form of 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6(1H,3H,5H)-trithione, trisodium salt (TMT 55) and its aqueous solution (TMT 15).
