explosive properties of explosives
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties

Description of key information

Explosive properties assessment : No evidence of explosive properties

Differential scanning calorimetry

Exotherm onset temperature (°C) : 127.7

Heat of decomposition (J.g-1) : -414.4

Key value for chemical safety assessment

non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on result of the DSC test (heat of decomposition < 500 J.g-1), it is beyond reasonable doubt that the material will not exhibit explosive properties. The conduct of the A14 tests was therefore not considered appropriate.
