Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Obtain medical attention
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap nad plenty of water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion: If conscious, make the victim drink 1 or 2 glasses of water. Get medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Specific hazards during fire-fighting: Burning produces irritant fumes. Exposure to decomposition products may be a hazard to health.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Should not be released into the environment. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods for containment /Methods for cleaning up: Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust. Shovel into suitable container for disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling procedures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid creating dust. Avoid breathing dust. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Protect from contamination
