In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII the activated sludge respiration inhibition testing shall not be conducted the substance is found to be readily biodegradable and the applied test concentrations are in the range of concentrations that can be expected in the influent of a sewage treatment plant. Regarding the short-term ecotoxicity, the readily biodegradability and the inclusion of all constituents of the substance in annex IV of REACh this test is not required. Conclusion is that no toxicity is expected in STP microorganisms.
