In an acute toxicity test with zebrafish, the LC50 (96 h)of 4,4'Difluorbenzophenon based on nominal concentration was > 100 mg/L and based on measured concentrations > 6.5 mg/L and is thus above the solubility limit of the test substance under the conditions of this test.

In two acute toxicity studies with Daphnia magna, the EC50 (48 h), based on measured concentrations, was determined. The geometric mean determined thereof is 5.68 mg/L indicating that the test substance may be toxic to aquatic invertebrates.

In two growth inhibition tests with Desmodemus subspicatus, the ErC50 values (72), based on measured concentrations, were determined as 1.92 mg/L and 2.4 mg/L indicating that the test substance may be toxic to algae. The geometric mean of the two available ErC50 values was determined as 2.147 mg/L.
