Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

4,4’-Difluorbenzophenon was tested in a manometric respirometry test according to the OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals, No. 301 F,for 28 days to determine whether the test substance is readily biodegradable. At the end of the test period a biodegradation rate of -4 % of the ThODNH4was measured for the test substance. Because the biodegradation rate was < 60 % of the ThODNH4after 28 days, the test substance 4,4’-Difluorbenzophenon cannot be considered to be readily biodegradable under the current test conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed
