First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. If cough or other respiratory
symptoms develop seek medical attention immediately. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes with plenty of water, also under the eyelids.
Remove any contact lenses and continue washing with running
water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash materials off the skin and wash with soap and plenty of
water for several minutes. If irritation persists seek
medical attention.


If in contact with hot polymer cool skin rapidly with cold
water. Do not peel polymer from the skin.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If a
large amount is swallowed seek medical advice immediately
and show the doctor the packaging or label.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry chemical and carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: If involved in a fire oxides of carbon will be formed.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.


Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards.


Carefully transfer the spillage to waste containers, or use
a sealed industrial vacuum machine. Containers filled with
waste material must be labelled in the same way as the
original containers.


Clean the spillage area with water and detergent.


Dispose of waste material by incineration or landfill in
accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used in
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure.



Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
substance.


When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.
Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards as follows;

Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374

Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to Standard EN166


When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be
used. e.g. a dust mask conforming to EN149FFP1.


The standards mentioned above should be regarded as a
minimum.

Storage: Store in a well-ventilated area away from heat and sunlight.
Recommended storage temperature is between 0 and 40 deg C.



Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 10, 15 or 25 kg bags or small boxes.

Transport: The substance is not classified as a dangerous material for
transportation. No specific precautions are needed.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None known.

Chemical reaction with water: None

Dust explosion: Based on molecular structure and composition of the
substance, explosives properties are not expected but based
on particle size, dust explosion potential can not be
excluded. See MSDS section 9.2 (Annex 7).


Potential explosive properties are indicated by the presence
of certain reactive groups in the molecule and /or by the
oxygen blanace. The molecular structure does not indicate
that such groups are present. No combination of

oxidizing and organic components, which may also indicate
potential explosive properties is present. Therefore,
considering the molecular structure and composition of the
substances, explosive properties are not expected.


Precautions regarding dust explosion risk are indicated in

following sections of the MSDS 5,6,7, 9& 10.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Discharge to the environment will be minimal. Recovery from
minor spillages or accidental discharge is not economically
or technically feasible, and such waste material will be
disposed of by incineration or landfill. In principle, it
may be possible to recover larger spillages of
uncontaminated material for subsequent use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local
regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases
should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes such as oxides of
carbon could be formed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to
the sewage system or the aqueous environment. However,
adverse effects on sewage treatment systems would be
unlikely.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
