Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The predicted BCF value of AS100 is 165.7, indicating the potential for bioaccumulation in fish is low.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
165.7 L/kg ww

Additional information

The BCFBAF v3.01 model of US EPI suite v4.10 was used to predict the BCF in Fathead Minnow of AS100.

BCFBAF v 3.01 estimates the bioconcentration factor (BCF) of an organic compound in the Fathead Minnow using the compounds Log Octanol- water partition coefficient (Kow).

The octanol water partition coefficient used in the predictions for the three main constituents of AS100 was Log Kow = 5.9.

The predicted BCF value for the test material is 165.7 (for all three constituents) which suggests that the material is unlikely to bioaccumulate in the fish (since the BCF value is far < 1000). Furthermore the BCF values of isopropyl compounds, xanthate compounds and polysulfide compounds are all far less than 1000, which are consistent with the BCF value of the test material, predicted by BCFBAF v3.01.
