Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water and soap. Take off contaminated clothing.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Powder extinguishing agent, carbon dioxide, dry sand or foam
extinguishing agent.

Product arising from burning: Hydrochloride gas or sulfur oxides.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A mask with a respirator to protect the worker from
hydrochloride gas and sulfur oxides.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing.

Surround the spillage by inert materials such as sand or
earth and remove it to appropriate containers. Dispose of in
accordance with local or national regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The preparation should be handled as a flammable liquid.

Suitable protective overalls, chemical resistant gloves and
safety goggles should be worn.

Storage: The preparation is stored in 18 l steel or 180 l drum, lined
inside with polyethylene. It is preferable that the
temperature does not exceed 30°C.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: As a Xylene solution, the upper explosion limit is 7% and
the lower explosion limit is 1.2%.

Reaction with strong acids, alkaline substances and amines
is possible.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported

Dust explosion: Not applicable as the substance is a liquid.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery/recycling of AF-427 is not possible. As a Xylene
solution, recycling and recovery is possible after
distillation when the excessive quantity is large. Spilled
material can not be recycled.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: There is no neutralisation method known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is recommended. Waste gas treatment to remove
oxides of sulfur and hydrogen chloride gas should be fitted.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable, the substance is not used by the public at
large.
