First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty
of water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. Re-launder
contaminated clothing before reuse.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, water foam or spray may be
used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur as well as copper oxide smoke and some
soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.

Wear suitable protective clothing, see 2.3.1. Avoid dust
formation by damping down with water. Absorb spillages of
solutions with a suitable inert material (eg sand or soil).
Carefully transfer the spillage to labelled waste
containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine. Clean
the spillage area with water and detergent. Dispose of waste
material by in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be handled in conditions of good
industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local
regulations in order to avoid exposure.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.
Such protective equipmemt should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards as follows;

Chemical protective gloves to Standard prEN374

Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to Standard prEN166

When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be
used. e.g. a dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1.

Storage: Store in sealed containers in a dry well-ventilated area,
away from sources of heat.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Sealed, labelled translucent plastic containers (1 to 5
pound quantities).

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Waste from one formulation batch will be recycled into the
next.

Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not
economically or technically feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local
regulations (A650).

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases
should be scrubbed to remove oxides of nitrogen and sulfur
and copper-containing compounds (A661).

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
