Conclusion on classification

The environmental classification (according to CLP) has been based on results from acute toxicity tests in fish, daphnia and algae, biodegradation and physico-chemical properties.

No toxicity was observed in algal, daphnia and fish studies.

The classification criteria for Acute/Chronic Category 1 and Chronic categories 2 and 3 are therefore not met.

A 'safety-net' classification of Chronic Category 4 is applicable as the substance is poorly water soluble (water solubility < 1 mg/L), is not rapidly biodegradable and has a partition coefficient (log Kow 4.2) greater than 4, indicating a potential to bioaccumulate.
