First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If patient is not breathing, give
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult give
oxygen. Call a physician.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. If irritation persists, call a physician
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give two glasses of water. Never give anything by mouth to
an unconscious person, call a physician. Take the patient to
a hospital for treatment if removal of the chemical is
necessary.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, water spray, foam, dry powder (sand or Met-L-X) and
dry chemical.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides
together with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear full protective equipment and a self-contained
breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Use appropriate personal protective equipment during
cleaning operations (see 2.3.1). Ensure the area is well
ventilated, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Collect using a plastic or aluminium scoop and deposit into
bags or boxes for disposal by incineration. Prevent washings
from entering sewers and waterways.

necessary, use a suitable dust mask. Do not consume food,
drink or tobacco in areas where contamination with the

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Uncontaminated material may be reworked or recycled (eg.
recrystallisation) to meet product specifications by putting
it back into the manufacturing process system. However,
contaminated material will be destroyed.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No method of neutralisation of the hazardous effects are
known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Disposal at an approved facility equipped with waste gas
treatment to remove nitrogen oxides is recommended. A
temperature of 1100 deg C and a residence time of 2 seconds
is recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
