Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected areas with
soap and water. If irritation develops seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray/fog, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be
used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full personal protective equipment and a self-contained
breathing apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing, see 2.3.1. Avoid dust
formation. Remove all sources of ignition. Sweep up spill
or use industrial vaccuum fitted with suitable dust
filtration system. Transfer to suitably labelled containers
and dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Wash
spill site throughly with water. Do not allow washings to
enter sewage system or open water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Use local exhaust ventilation. Gloves (EN374) and
eye protection (EN166) should be worn. Respiratory
protective equipment may be used, e.g. a dust mask
(EN149FFP1) or a personal respirator (EN405FFA1 or
EN146THP1).

Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers, in a cool, dark, dry

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not economically feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance and solid wastes contaminated with it may be
disposed of by landfill at an authorised facility in
accordance with local regulations (A650).

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method at a suitable facility. Waste gas
scrubbing to remove oxides of sulfur and nitrogen should be
fitted (A661).

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain incorporated
into articles. Recovery from articles is not feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: The graphic arts film articles will be disposed of through
specialist waste contractors.
