First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Syptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush immediately with clear water for at least 15 minutes.

If irritation persists seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water to dilute.  Seek

medical attention immediately.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical agent or foam may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen and possibly hydrogen cyanide.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing

should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1.).

Eliminate all ignition sources and ventilate area.  Absorb

on vermiculite or other suitable absorbent material.  Place

materials and absorbent into sealed labelled containers and

dispose of in accordance with local regulations.

Do not allow the substance to enter water courses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Use splash goggles or face shield if eye contact is likely

to occur.  Use chemical resistant gloves as needed to avoid

prolonged or repeated contact.

EU Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Directive reference

EN166 is applicable for eye protection.  EU PPE Directive

reference EN 374 Pt. 3 is applicable for gloves.

Storage: Store in 55 gallon (250 litre) steel drums in a cool, dry,

well ventilated area away from heat.  Containers are kept

upright and tightly closed.
