First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure area to fresh air. Perform artificial
respiration if necessary. Keep person warm and at rest. Get
medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash eyes immediately with large amounts of water or normal
saline for at least 15 - 20 minutes. Get medical attention
immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash with soap or
mild detergent and large amounts of water. Get medical
attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Get medical attention immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog, dry chemical, foam or carbon dioxide.

Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, iron oxides and chlorine

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Filter respirator, chemical goggles, gloves, overalls, apron
and boots.

In the event of a fire: Self-contained positive air pressure
breathing apparatus with full face shield

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.

Spills should be contained, solidified and placed in
suitable containers for disposal in accordance with the
local regulations.

Wear eye protection (chemical goggles), chemical resistant
gloves, protective clothing (impervious apron), and a dust
mask EN 149 FFP1.

Handling and storage

Handling: Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.

Ensure adequate ventilation.

When handling the test substance, protective clothing,
gloves, overalls, apron, boots and chemical goggles should
be worn. A filter respirator should also be used.

Storage: Keep away from all possible sources of ignition, heat and
direct sunlight.

Storage container should be in a cool well-ventilated area.
Keep container tightly closed.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The toner cartridge is enclosed in a plastic bag, packed in

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will be used during normal usage. Recycling
and recovery from accidental spillages are not economically
or technically feasible and such waste material will be
disposed of by incineration or landfill.

Used paper products containing small amount of the test
substance will be sent for recovery.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: It is not possible to neutralise the substance.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (e.g. sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill in accordance with the local regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: 661 Incinerator with flue gas scrubbing.

The substance can be disposed of by incineration, by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
plant and in accordance with the local regulations. Stack
gases must be scrubbed because noxious fumes (carbon and
iron oxides) could be formed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to
the sewage system or the aqueous environment.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: None

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers and toners cartridges may be
disposed of as domestic waste by landfill.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The test substance will not be discharged directly to the
sewage or aqueous environment.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: None
