Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If signs/symptoms develop, remove person to fresh air. If
signs/symptoms persist, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with large amounts of water. If signs/symptoms
persist, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water. If signs/symptoms
develop, get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give victim water to drink. Get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, carbon dioxide, dry-powder, fire-extinguishing foam.

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, water, hydrogen fluoride,
acid fluoride.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-
contained positive pressure or pressure demand breathing
apparatus, tunic and trousers (leggings), bands around arms,
waist and legs, face mask, and protective covering for
exposed areas of the head.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Suitable material for picking up, for example sand,
kieselgur or universal binder.

Treat recovered material as hazardous waste. Waste should be
send to an incinerator for disposal.

Place in a metal container approved for transportation.

Do not allow to enter drains/surface waters/groundwaters.

Operate if possible in a well-ventilated place. Do not
breathe gas/vapour/spray.

Use personal protective clothing. Use only non-sparking
tools. Keep away from ignition sources.

Handling and storage

Handling: Design of all process steps shall minimise open handling

far as possible in order to avoid potenial contact with

skin and eye and to minimise the exposure by inhalation.

Closed dosages and closed sampling, if necessary, should be
used.

For open handling effective exhaust ventilations is
recommended.

If exhaust ventilation is not effective respirators should
be used (e.g.: bottled air breathing appartus).

To protect against skin contact the use of tested antistatic
gloves (e.g.: Polyethylene) is recommended.

The use of eye protection (e.g.: goggles) is recommended.

In case of skin concat, the skin should be rinsed and
cleaned carefully with water and soap. Contaminated

clothes should be changed immediately.

If the release of vapours can not be excluded all

potential ignition sources should be avoided in the working
area.

Additionally, measures in order to prevent electrostatic
charging should be taken. All conductive parts should be
earthed.

Equipment, which could create sparks should be avoided.

Storage: Labled stainless steel air tight cylinders are recommended.

Air tight cylinders should be kept tightly closed and should
be protected from falling down.

The air tight cylinders should be placed on a collecting
pan.

Do not store at temperatures above 50 Grad C.

Keep ignition sources away.

Protect from light, store under nitrogen, and keep away from
strong bases and amines.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Use containments made of stainless steel.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: No possibilities.

Will be investigated and developed during the process
development.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Thermal exhaust gas equipment.

Incineration of liquid waste.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Thermal exhaust gas equipment.

Incineration of liquid waste.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The water solubility is extremely low.

The waste water will be treated in a physical waste water
treatment.

Thermal waste water treatment (e.g. destillation).

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance does not come into contact with the public.
