First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult seek
immediate medical attention. If not breathing give
artificial respiration and call for emergency medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes with flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes. Blink
eyes frequently. Repeat flushing if burning or pain
persists. If problems continue seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water. Remove
contaminated clothing and shoes. Seek medical attention if
irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, water spray or fog.

Product arising from burning: Noxious fumes (eg oxides of carbon and nitrogen).

Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.


Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Avoid dust formation by damping down with water. Absorb
spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (eg.
sand or soil). Transfer the spillage to waste containers, or
use a sealed industrial vacuum machine. Containers filled
with waste material must also be labelled.

Clean the spillage area with detergent and water.


Dispose of waste material in accordance with local
regulations by landfill or incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: Employ good industrial hygiene that conform with local
regulations.


Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
substance.


When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately
controlled,appropriate personal protective equipment should

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Preparations containing the substance is supplied in plastic
syringes in quantities from 10 ml to ca. 500 g, frozen and
placed into cardboard boxes. For transport, the boxes are
loaded into a urethane overpack filled with dry ice.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not
economically or technically feasible, and such waste
material will be disposed of by incineration or landfill. It
may be possible to recover larger spillages of
uncontaminated material for subsequent use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The dust hazard will be neutralised by appropriate storage
and handling measures.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg. sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local
regulations.

treatment processor in accordance with local regulations.
