Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink 500 ml of water, do not induce vomiting.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use a self-contained breathing apparatus. Combustion
products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides. Suitable
extinguishing agents are carbon dioxide, chemical foam, dry
powder or water mist.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate the spillage area. Wear protective clothing,
eye/face protection and gloves (See 2.3.1) and rubber
boots. Contain the spill and/or absorb using suitable
material, prevent the substance from entering water
systems. Collect spillage with a pump and remove residual
material with absorbent. Dispose of waste by incineration.
Removal of contaminated soil may be necessary.

Handling and storage

Handling: Wear anti-splash glasses or a face mask, oil-resistant
gloves and suitable protective clothing. Local exhaust
ventilation should be used. If the substance is to be
heated, wear respiratory protection with an independent air
supply.

Storage: The substance may be stored at elevated temperatures. Short
term: Less than 24 hours, not above 120 deg C Long term:
Longer than 24 hours, not above 100 deg C The maximum
temperature permitted in stirred systems is 140 deg C

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Avoid contact with oxidising agents. No reaction with water
is known.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not possible

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical method of neutralisation for the identified
hazardous effects is known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled site is possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. The substance should be diluted with
oil or hydrocarbon solvent before incineration at an
approved facility with waste gas treatment to remove
nitrogen gas oxides.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain
