First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move the person away from the contaminated area. Make the affected person rest. If necessary seek medical advice.
Show this sheet to the doctor.
Eyes: Immediately rinse with plenty of running water for a prolonged period, (at least 15 minutes) whilst keeping the eyes wide open
Skin: Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear. Wash with soap and water. Use appropriate protective equipment when treating a contaminated person.
Ingestion: NEVER attempt to induce vomiting. Rinse mouth out with water.
Further information : Place contaminated clothing in a sealed bag for disposal. Use appropriate protective equipment when treating a contaminated person.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, Powders, Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Not suitable extinguishing agent: Strong water jet.
Specific hazards : Combustible liquid.
Protection of fire-fighters : Boots, gloves, goggles. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing
Product arising from burning: CeO2, Fe2O3, CO2, H2O.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : NO flames, NO sparks. Eliminate all sources of ignition. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe vapours.
Personal protective equipment: self-contained breathing apparatus, appropriate long gloves, safety glasses, water-proof boots, full body protection (impermeable protective suit).
Prevent any contact with hot surfaces. Remove all sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions : Do NOT discharge into drains or rivers. Contain the spilled material by bunding.
Methods for cleaning up :
Recovery : Pump up the product into a spare container suitably labelled. Keep the recovered product for subsequent disposal.
Neutralization : Absorb residues with vermiculite.
Cleaning/Decontamination : Wash the floor with plenty of water.
Disposal : Incinerate contaminated materials at an authorized installation

Handling and storage

Handling:
Technical measures : Vapour extraction at source.
Measures : Avoid contact with hot surfaces. Prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge.
Safe handling advice : Ensure that there is a suitable ventilation system
Storage:
Technical measures : Under the containers, there should be a raised impermeable surface, designed in such a way that in the event of an accidental spillage the liquid flows into an impermeable tank where it would not present any risk. Storage tanks must be: dry.
Storage conditions :
Recommended : Store: away from any flames, protected from heat, in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials, protected from humidity, protected from light.
Incompatible products : Acids, Alkalis and caustic products, Reducing materials.
Packaging :
Packaging materials:
Recommended : Stainless steel, Teflon, Hydrocarbon resistant materials, high density polyethylene, fluoropolymers.
Not suitable : Rubbers, Certain plastic materials, Materials which are not resistant to hydrocarbons.

Hand protection : Impermeable protective gloves. Nitrile protective gloves
Eye protection : Safety spectacles.
Skin and body protection : Impermeable suit. (Hypalon, Tyvek Saranex)
Collective emergency equipment : Safety shower, Eye fountain

Stability and reactivity

Stability : Stable at room temperature
Hazardous reactions
Materials to avoid : mineral acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents.

Disposal considerations

RESIDUES FROM PRODUCT
Destruction/Disposal : Incinerate at a licensed installation.
CONTAMINATED PACKAGING
Decontamination/cleaning : Scrape or drain carefully
Destruction/Disposal : May be reused following decontamination.
In car dealerships, collection, processing and recycling of cans and preparation are managed according guidelines and procedures of vehicle manufacturers
NOTE : The user's attention is drawn to the possible existence of local regulations regarding disposal.
