Description of key information

The study was performed according to OECD Guideline 301-B/EU method C4-C and GLP guidelines.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Under the conditions of the modified Sturm test presently performed, at least a part of the components of the mixture Radia 7838 were biodegradable. Based on the 28-day degradation curves, complete degradation can be estimated to be reached after 150 to 170 days. As a principle, this type of screening study is intended for pure chemicals as it does not include identification of those components in a mixture, which are degradable or non-degradable.
