Description of key information

The test substance is considered ‘not flammable’ also in contact with water and has no pyrophoric properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

None of the components of Radia 7838 does contain groups that might lead to the evolution of a dangerous amount of flammable gas, or might lead to spontaneous ignition in a short time, when coming into contact with water or damp air. No metals, transition metals, boron or silicon are present. It is not to be expected that an interaction between the different components occur. Furthermore, experience in handling during the studies performed shows that the test substance does not ignite spontaneously after coming in contact with air at room temperature.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is not classified for flammability according to Directive 67/548/EC and CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
