First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If exposure to dust causes irritation or distress, remove

subject to fresh air. Give oxygen or artificial respiration

if needed. Get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15

minutes, and contact a physician.

Emergency measure - Skin: Immediately flush skin with soap and plenty of water. Remove

clothing. Get medical attention. Wash clothing before

reuse.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed, immediately get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use carbon dioxide or dry chemical for small fires, alcohol

resistant foam, universal foam or water spray for large

fires.

Product arising from burning: May generate SOx, CO of HF when heated to burning.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should be provided with normal protective

equipment and positive-pressure self-contained breathing

apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: GENERAL: Eliminate all ignition source. Consult an expert on

the disposal of recovered material. Ensure disposal is in

compliance with government requirements and ensure

conformity of local disposal regulations. Notify the

appropriate authorities immediately. Take all additional

action necessary to prevent and remedy the adverse effects

of the spill.

SPECIFIC : Evacuate personnel, thoroughly ventilate area,

use self-contained breathing apparatus.Shovel or sweep up

material and dispose as waste following local regulations.

Scrub contaminated area with detergent and water. Prevent

washings from entering sewers, waterways or low areas during

clean-up operations.

Disposal considerations:

To be incinerated by adequate method. Dispose in accordance

with federal, state and local regulations. The owner of the

materials responsible for proper waste disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS (VENTILATION):

Use local ventilation at places where dust can be released

into the workplace air. Keep dust concentrations below the

recommended TLV.

ACGIH TLV for " Particles not otherwise classified "

=10 mg/m3.

PERSONAL PROTECTION :

- RESPIRATORY : Wear a dust respirator.

- PROTECTIVE GLOVES : Wear chemical resistant gloves.

- EYE PROTECTION : Wear safety goggles or equivalent eye

protection.

- OTHER : Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent

skin contact.

- WORK/HYGIENIC PRACTICES : Always clean protective

equipment and workplace.

Storage: Store in well-ventilated area. Store in cool, dry place

(below 20 °C). Store out of light. Keep away from heat,

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The preparation is not recovered or recycled during normal

use. Any spilled material is not recovered but is disposed

of by incineration or disposal to landfill in accordance

with local regulations.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of the preparation

mixed with inert material (e.g. sand or soil) may be

disposed of in an authorized tip in accordance with local

regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Code 661: incinerator with flue gas scrubbing.

The preparation may be disposed of by burning under

controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment

processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases

should be scrubbed as noxious fumes (e.g. carbon dioxide)

could be formed. Incineration is the preferred method of

disposal

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: In the unlikely event that the preparation should enter the

water treatment system, contaminated water should be treated

by means of  floculation recipitation. The precipitated

material should then be incinerated.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: No public product.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: No public product.
