Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Sample purity is of prime concern.  Therefore,

recovery/recycling of the test substance is not recommended.

Waste should be removed to a safe area for disposal by

incineration or landfill.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Waste can be discharged into a landfill.  However, starch

may qualify as special waste and should be disposed of

according to local regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Disposal into water purification systems is the preferred

method of disposal.  Discharge into local sewage systems

should be according to local regulations.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
