First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: The substance is inert and will not burn if involved in a

fire.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Protective clothing and a self contained breathing apparatus

should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1.).

Damp spill down with water to avoid dust formation. Absorb

liquid spills using a suitable inert material (eg sand or

soil).

Take up using a sealed industrial vacuum machine and

transfer to labelled containers. Dispose of at a landfill

site in accordance with local regulations. Wash spill  site

with water and detergent.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling inorganic

chemicals. Ensure adequate ventilation. Protective clothing,

chemical resistant gloves, safety goggles and a dust mask

(EN149 FFP1) should be worn.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages is not technically feasible.

Recovery for recycling from larger spillages is possible.

(A612)

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Mix with inert material (eg sand or soil) and dispose of at

a controlled landfill facility. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: If accidental discharge occurs, the substance is unlikely to

have adverse effects on sewage treatment systems.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery is not technically feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: The preparation containing the substance can be disposed of

as domestic waste.
