Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If excessive inhalation exposure occurs, remove to fresh

air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If

breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Flood the eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes, holding

the eyes open to ensure complete irrigation. If irritation

occurs and persists seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of

water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated

clothing and shoes. Seek medical attention. Wash

contaminated clothing before reuse and discard contaminated

shoes.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Dry chemical, water, foam, carbon dioxide (CO2)

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may include oxides of carbon and

nitrogen.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Initial containment:

Remove source of heat, sparks, flame, impact, friction or

electricity. Dike spill. Prevent material from entering

sewers, waterways, or low areas.

Spill clean-up:

Recover free liquid for reuse or reclamation. Recover

undamaged and minimally contaminated material for reuse and

reclamation. Soak up with sand, oil dry, or other

noncombustible absorbent materials. Transfer spilled

material and absorbent to metal drums for disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid breathing vapors or mist. Wash thoroughly after

handling.

Storage: Store in a well ventilated place. Keep container tightly

closed.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: <15Kg quantities use 500ml or 1L glass bottles.

For large samples use 18L carbon steel pails containing a

high density polyethylene bottle.
