Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Get medical attention if

irritation persists.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water for at

least 15 minutes, lifting upper and lower lids. If

irritation persists, get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Flush exposed areas thoroughly with water until all chemical

is removed. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before

reuse. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical

attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical.

Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a

fire, evolving noxious fumes (eg oxides of carbon and

nitrogen). However, there is no experimental evidence to

support the anticipated combustion products.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing

apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Precautions for persons:

Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.

Wear PPE during operations and avoid contact or dust

inhalation.

Environmental precations:

Avoid release to soil, waterways and ground water.

Method of removal:

Use sealed industrial vacuum machine and transfer the leaked

material to waste containers. Containers filled with waste

material must be labelled in the same way as the original

containers.

Prevention of secondary hazard:

Avoid contact with nearby hot items.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used in

conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with

any local regulations in order to minimise exposure.

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the

substance. Use only in well ventilated areas.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled

appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn.

Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate

international or national standards as follows;

Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374

Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to Standard EN166

When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be

used. e.g. a dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1.

Wash hands and exposed skin before eating, drinking or

smoking.

Beware of polymerization due to heating.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated dark area.

Store avoiding direct sunlight, and away from flame or heat

sources.

Storage temperature: room temperature

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Double plastic bags in heavy duty fibre box.
