Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: No possibility of recycling/recovery because material must
be unadulterated for use in photographic processes.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None envisaged as beneficial. For example extensive
hydrolysis could liberate hydrazine.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Landfill for solids and extensive dilution for residues and
solutions.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is possible if sodium can be tolerated in the
furnace. The combustion products SOX and NOX must be kept
below permitted atmospheric discharge levels.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
