Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water or powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon, sulfur
and nickel compounds.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1.)

Avoid dust formation by damping down with water. Absorb
spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (eg
sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to labelled
waste containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine.
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.

Clean the spillage area with water and detergent.

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Noe known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local
regulations. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration at a
suitable facility. Waste gas treatment to remove oxides of
sulfur and nickel compounds should be fitted. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
