Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The toxicity of epoxiconazole to Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata was tested according to OECD Guideline 201. In this GLP study dimethylformamide (100 µL) was used as a solvent. Algae were exposed to the nominal concentrations of 1.87, 3.3, 44.2, 83, 417, 2080 and 10420 µg /L (corresponding to geometric mean measured concentrations of 1.91, 4.04, 43.3, 84.3, 409, 1915 and 10692 µg/L). The 72-h ErC50 value was determined to be > 10.7 mg/L (geo-mean measured). The corresponding 72-h ErC10 was determined to be 6.9 µg/L (geo-mean measured, Hermes H., rep. no.: 1993/10149, 2018).

Overall, it can be concluded that based on the available experimental data epoxiconazole is acutely harmful for algae.
