Description of key information

In contact with water the substance is considered to be hydrolytically stable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Experimental data for the assessment of the degradation path of epoxiconazole in water are available.

Hydrolysis as a function of pH of the test substance was studied. The procedure was performed according to the EPA Guideline Subdivision N 161-1 (hydrolysis). The preliminary test (at pH= 5, 7 and 9) shown that epoxiconazole was stable after 46 days. Therefore, the test substance is considered hydrolytically stable and the half-life time of hydrolysis could not be calculated. No additional testing is required.
